Big Plans

With the weather still beautitul and warm it's hard to think about knitting or crochet but when I was in town last week I noticed a bargain bucket of wool in John Lewis all at a reduced price.  I grabbed myself a few balls with a little project in mind. 

All I need to do now is wait for the long winter nights and snuggle down with my hook to get this wool out of the ball and into a work of art.

And for the curious of you, this is what I am planning to make but first I need to find the teapot!

Yet another start!

Oh the excitement of starting a new project.  The only problem is I am one of those people who like to have a few projects on the go at any one time so it takes me a while to actually finish them (are you still waiting for the ta dah on the patchwork quilt, won't be long). 

The clocks are due to go back soon and the evenings will be drawing in so this gives me more of an opportunity to get out the knitting needles, I just cannot bring myself to play with wool when the weather is hot. 

As I'm a self taught knitter and I like to keep it simple I went on the hunt for a new project.

I found this lovely wool at a bargain price along with the pattern and I'll be making the scarf just like it says on the label. Here's hoping it only takes a couple of evenings and I'll be able to do a ta dah!!!!
